ABOUT
Sound designer and composer with a practice shaped by classical training and modern production
Sound has always been both a discipline and a space for exploration, guiding an approach focused on meaning, identity, and connection.
Francesco Cassino, also known as Comakid, is an Italian-born, UK-based composer and sound designer working internationally at the intersection of music, technology, and experimentation.

Ableton Official Sound Partner since 2018.
Classically trained, with a background spanning piano, drums, and electronic production, his approach is defined by precision, curiosity, and close attention to detail.
Over the past decade, he has worked across music technology, sample libraries, immersive media, and commissioned composition, moving fluidly between technical development and creative direction.
Whether designing sound for music software, developing sample libraries, or composing for visual and experiential projects, the focus remains the same: creating work that is purposeful, musical, and built to last.
Alongside commissioned work, he is the founder of 2020K, an independent sample library focused on forward-thinking sound design tools.
Under the Comakid moniker, he has released original music while also developing sounds and sample packs distributed by companies including Ableton, Native Instruments, Splice, Reason Studios and Arturia, reaching producers worldwide.

In parallel, he maintains an active artistic practice through projects including After Crash and Your Crush Naked, using these outlets as spaces for experimentation that continue to inform his approach to sound design and composition.
Sound design for music technology and digital tools, including presets, patches, and stock library content. Built to be musical, consistent, and reliable across real-world workflows.
Sample packs and presets selected and distributed by leading platforms and used by producers globally. Designed to be practical, characterful, and adaptable across genres and workflows.
Original music created to support visual communication across film, documentary, immersive media, and branded content. Each project is shaped around context, narrative, and audience, with sound designed to enhance meaning rather than distract from it.
